Just a Test
Being a complete blogging newbie, I have been futzing around with the elements of my blog, trying to get things to look the way I want them to.
Tonight Rita and I have been playing with differing templates and elements within the blog to see what we can do. She, being the ambitious type, is determined to post a slideshow on the top of her blog. I am just trying to get my photos to post in a more reader friendly position in relation to the text.
Now we have Ben starting a blog and of course Sarah, our resident super computer nerdo, is answering all of our pathetic questions and getting more information online.
Meanwhile, poor Zach cannot ever get online, which makes him scream, especially when there is a match between his beloved Chelsea and anyone else. So he is translating German and reading Everything is Illuminated, by Jonathan Safran Foer. I hope you do not feel tricked or cheated by this thin gruel of a blog entry, and now that I am obsessing over my "blog stats", my greatest fear is losing audience share. And so, like Fox News, I will soon be posting wild, fear mongering statistics about the terrorists here, sandwiched between salacious photos of scantily dressed Thai women. Stay tuned and tell your friends!

this has nothing to do with this pathetic attempt at a post (just kidding, it's fantastic for an old man) but have you posted anything on your living/sleeping arrangements at all? While looking at these pictures I noticed the mattresses on the floor of a room. Is it just one large room that you all share or what?
ReplyDeleteThese are just temporary arrangements. Next Wednesday we all depart for our houses, which, depending on our placement vary widely. I am living alone in a small house of the main road,which I will document once I am there. The other volunteers run the gamut from western toilets and hot water, to primitive cabins shared with locals. It is actually a little hard in that sense since it doesn't really seem equitable.
