Our life is an apprenticeship to the truth, that around every circle another can be drawn; that there is no end in nature, but every end is a beginning.

Rice Harvest

These photos are from an agricultural class held at the high school where we are staying. We all dove in an cut a few. It is very difficult to ascertain the actual economics of the area. There are random selections of seemingly middle class and very poor houses side by side. It is unclear who owns or harvests what fields and how the whole thing works. I know one thing for sure- I would make a very poor rice farmer. And one other thing- we are going to eat more rice in the next 11 months than my whole life previously added together.
